1894 PDS Rural Products Merchandise Division (part of PDS Co-operative Society the major south coast of NSW dairy co-operative )
The fishing division was founded to service professional fishermen & fishing co-operatives , the main products were fish trap wire mesh ,rope & floats

1947 Tortue Fishing Line exclusive distributors for more than 55 years

1983 Aps Fishing was formed as a wholly owned division of PDS Rural Products ---the emphasis changed from professional fishing supplies to recreational fishing tackle

1990's PDS Co-operative was bought by Tooth & Co ---after a number of corporate takeovers the company settled down as National Dairies -a major public company ---Aps Fishing remained a division of the dairy company throughout.

1991 Banax reels -exclusive australian distribution

1997 Bryfo Pty Ltd -purchased APS Fishing from National Dairies which was disposing of all non dairy assets

2000 Top Catch -APS Fishing was dropped as the company name for the simpler & more widely recognised Top Catch

2001 Gladiator was adopted as the registered brand name for company merchandise -Gladiator® Supervpoint Red Hi-Carbon Hooks introduced with superior quality, unmatched value & the widest range available

2002 Moved to Pendle Hill after 20 years at Kingsgrove , the company moved to a bigger & more user friendly location.

2004 With the need for a larger warehouse the company was moved to the current Chester Hill location.

Reel Service & Spares Policy Reels are warranted in writing from 2 to 5 years (see warranty guidelines ) -spares are carried for 5 years from the introduction of the model & thereafter subject to manufacturers availability except Everol® Big Game Reels where due to hundreds of models from 1958 , spares are airmail ordered from Italy as required
